Fast traveling is the quick method to move between two locations in any RPG like New World. As New World does not have any mounts or sprints, players have to walk all the way from one location to another in a mundane fashion.
Players can only use Inns, Settlements, Outposts, Houses, and Spirit Shrines in New World to fast travel from one place to another. Unfortunately, it is not possible to fast travel from or to any other locations in the game.
Returning to Inn in New World
“Returning to Inn” is the best possible way of fast traveling in the New World because players can fast travel to an inn from any location on the entire map. Every settlement and Outpost have an Inn that can act as a fast travel point, but first, players need to visit the Inn on foot, talk to the innkeeper, and set the Inn as a return point.
To fast travel to an Inn in New World, just open your map, click on the desired Inn and select “Recall to Inn.”
Note: Players can only set one Inn as a return point at any given time.
Fast Traveling from Settlements or Outposts
Players can fast travel to Settlements or Outposts from any other fast travel point/spirit shrines in New World, but just like the Inns, players must first discover the particular settlement on foot.
Unfortunately, Fast traveling to a settlement is not free, and players must pay a fee in Azoth to do so. The amount of Azoth required to fast travel depends upon the distance between the two locations.
Here are all the settlements and outposts present in Aeternum:
Returning to your Home
Players can own up to three houses in different settlements of the New World and can return to them as a method of fast travel, just like the “Return to Inn” option.
The only drawback of using this method is the time restriction. Players must wait for a certain amount of time before they can use the same feature again. These time restrictions vary for different houses.
Shrine Spirit/Fast Travel Point in New World
Lastly, players can use Spirit Shrines, scattered across the vast map of Aeternum outside the settlements, to fast travel to other spirit shrines or settlements. Just like the Inn and Settlements, players must first discover these locations. Fast traveling from these points also costs some Azoth.
If you do not wish to spend hours walking and searching for these locations, fret not; I got you covered.
Here are all the spirit shrines located in New World:
- Everfall: Shadowmine Shrine, Bearclaw Shrine.
- Monarch’s Bluffs: Dreadscythe Shrine, Achernar Gate Shrine
