DC has released a schedule on their official website containing all details such as the days, panels and venue of their presentation at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022.

After a two-year long hiatus owing to the pandemic, San Diego Comic-Con has finally returned this year. Comic book fans and pop-culture enthusiasts are eagerly looking forward to the event. SDCC 2022 is scheduled to be held from July 21, 2022 to July 24, 2022.

On July 23, DC took over the coveted Hall H of San Diego Comic-Con. New trailers for upcoming DC films, Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods were screened.

Black Adam will mark Dwayne Johnson’s debut in the DC Universe and will also introduce the Justice Society. Johnson expects the film to give DC a ‘new start’. The film is all set to release on October 21, 2022.  Check out the trailer below –

A new trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods was also unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. The trailer gave us more of Mirren, and a first glimpse of Rachel Zegler as a brand-new character. Here’s the trailer –

There may also be a surprise presentation of the upcoming Blue Beetle. DC’s last presentation will be that of Sandman, a Netflix adaptation series of Neil Gaiman’s graphic novel of the same name.

Though DC has an elaborate schedule planned, they will most likely not be announcing new projects as they already have a plethora of projects lined up.

No Major Updates on Upcoming Releases

Apart from Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, there were no updates regarding DC’s upcoming major releases. Fans expected updates on the sequel to Aquaman, Wonder Woman 3, any of the The Batman spin-offs and follow-ups or the Batgirl movie. There were also no updates on The Flash.

However, unfortunately, DC gave us no updates about these projects. As such, the DC panel was majorly underwhelming and uneventful at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Hopefully, we will get more updates in the future.

The first TV series set in the DCAU was Batman: The Animated Series, which premiered in 1992; the last TV series was Justice League Unlimited, which ended its run in 2006. The associated media franchise also includes direct-to-video feature films and shorts, comic books, video games and other multimedia adaptations set in the same continuity.
