Episode 5 of Akebi’s Sailor Uniform starts with a flashback of Ohkuma arriving at the dorm, but instead of getting some shut-eye, she goes off to the woods.
Ohkuma is a great observer and a wonderful drawer, especially of wildlife. So when you see something strange (like a freaking snake) in your neighborhood, who are you going to call? Ohkuma-san. (That didn’t rhyme.)
Anyway, Akebi comes up behind her and admires the snake. Will they get to talk like they’ve always wanted to?

Episode 6 Speculations
This Akebi girl has chemistry with every student at Roubai Academy, and I’m here for it. Hopefully, we get to see more of Tougeguchi in the next episode. After all, she was Akebi’s first friend.
Tougeguchi and Ohkuma seem to be similar kinds of loners. Will they be good friends? I’m looking forward to seeing who Akebi befriends next.

Episode 5 Recap
Ohkuma arrives at the dormitory where she’s shown around. Instead of resting, she went straight to the woods and started documenting the insects she saw.
On the first day of school, she saw Akebi looking different from everyone else, wearing a sailor uniform. She was in awe and wanted to talk to her but didn’t have the courage.
As she went around campus, drawing what she saw, she heard people scream in the gym. It turned out to be a Japanese rat snake upon a closer look.
She gently took it, and Akebi sneaked up on her, to admire the snake. They went to the woods to let it out. They became fast friends when Ohkuma found out that Akebi likes to document people in her journal.
They get to observe other students and write in a journal, but suddenly Akebi’s seen helping the subject. Ohkuma explains to her that she must remain aloof to be more scientific.
They try to observe students from behind bushes, but Akebi is too noticeable. So this time, they hide in a closet to watch people. Akebi ends up sneezing, and they’re found out.
Later the students of Roubai academy go out to the field to pick a subject from nature and draw. They all draw well, but Akebi notices Tougeguchi looking at her constantly. She turns out to be the girl who had met Akebi at a washroom during an entrance exam.
Akebi had given her a handkerchief, and Tougeguchi never forgot about her. She returns the handkerchief, and they promise to get to know each other.
