Ahiru no Sora Episode 46: Release Date, Preview, Watch Online

The practice match between Kuzuryu High and Yokohama Taiei High saw a fantastic play and teamwork on Taiei’s side with Shiraishi and Fuwa dominating the court.

But Kuzuryu players haven’t given up yet and have switched up the strategy to counter Taiei.

No, episode 46 of the Ahiru no Sora anime will be released as per its schedule; thus, no such delay is announced.

The anime comes out weekly every Wednesday.

But we expect to watch the practice match between Kuzuryu High and Yokohama Taiei High, which will continue in the second half of the game.

Taiei is not giving Kuzuryu any chance to score a basket, so the players’ desperation to make an opening, grows stronger.

But unlike before, Kuzuryu has come up with a better strategy to counter Taiei’s attack. However, the 71 to 36 gap is hard to cover.

Fuwa was surprisingly getting better at defense and has locked Kite as his target, trying not to let him score!

But Kite has overcome his anxiousness and is directing his energy into defeating the opponents!

On the other hand, Sora is trying to master Shiraishi’s move, which can help his short stature score more three-pointers without wasting his energy, can Sora show an unexpected play in the next episode?    

3. Recap of Episode 45

I. Taiei and Kuzuryu’s shortest players

Episode 45, titled “Break,” begins with Sora asking Kamiki to lend him ice since he was throwing it away anyway.

Sora wonders if Kamiki was playing in the game today, but Kamiki corrects him and tells those first-year students were only there for cheers and to run errands except for Fuwa, he was a precious player for their coach.

Before Sora could leave, Kamiki points out that Sora’s three-pointers at the start felt careless, but Sora lets him know that he was pretty confident in them, and even though there was a vast gap in points it wasn’t enough to make Kuzuryu team give up.

They exchange names, but upon hearing Sora’s last name Kurumatani, Kamiki tells him the person who taught him basketball had the same last name.

II. Game plan

Madoka goes on a date with Tsukasa, but her mind always wondered about Sora’s practice match and hoped they win.

While practicing, Sora remembers his conversation with Kamiki after learning his mother taught Kamiki basketball.

Sora also says he was planning to aim beyond being in the final eight, Sora wanted to be the best shortest player in Japan and was thankful Kamiki was a little taller than him.

Nanao gives Kuzuryu team instructions for the man-to-man play, and the second half begins!

Fuwa displays incredible skills, but Sora also reshoots a three-pointer!

III. Kuzuryu’s desperation

Kite remembers his practice and stockpiles his frustration; the game continues with Kite getting a rebound. But with Shiraishi scoring a three-pointer, Taiei gets a 36 point lead.

Sora catches on to Shiraishi’s play and takes the ball, he dribbles further and tires to imitate Shiraishi’s three-pointer but failing to score a basket.

However, Sora’s quick wit is noticed by Taiei’s coach and Kamiki.

Taiei leads the game with unparalleled teamwork, but Sora passes the ball to Kite, who regained his composure.

Fuwa manages to stop Kite’s basket, but Yasu gains the ball back and passes it to Kite, who blows past Shiraishi to take a shot!

Ahiru no Sora, also known as “Sky of the Duck” or “Sora the Duck,” is a Japanese basketball manga series written and illustrated by Takeshi Hinata.

It started serialization in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2003.

The first volume was released on May 17, 2004, and as of September 2019, fifty volumes have been published in Japan by Kodansha. An anime television series adaptation by Diomedéa premiered on October 2, 2019 and is still ongoing.

Sora Kurumatani made a promise to his mother, “I will dominate my first high school tournament.”

But as he joins the basketball club after entering Kuzuryū High School, he finds out that it has become a stomping ground for delinquents.
