The practice match between Kuzuryu High and Yokohama Taiei High saw a fantastic play on Kuzuryu’s side with their best line up shaking the audience and opponents alike.

Episode 45 of the Ahiru no Sora anime, titled “Break,” will be released on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

No, episode 45 of the Ahiru no Sora anime will be released as per its schedule; thus, no such delay is announced. The anime comes out weekly every Wednesday.

2. Episode 45 Preview & Speculation

In the preview for Episode 45, titled “Break,” was not shown at the end of episode 44. But we expect to watch the practice match between Kuzuryu High and Yokohama Taiei High, which will continue in the second half of the game.

Taiei players are shown to enter the basketball court, while Sora and his team are determined to fight until the end. In the half time, Kamiki has come to Sora’s aid as he can relate more to Sora’s struggles being a fellow short player.

They might end up becoming rivals and encourage each other with sharp words. With Kamiki’s opinion about Sora changing after watching him play, we look forward to his advice to Sora.

Madoka was shown to be watching the basketball court form far worried about the practice match, so she could appear in this episode and cheer Sora on in her way!

On the other hand, Nanao and Kuzuryu players are making strategies to defeat Taiei, and we could get more of Kite’s encounter with Fuwa. Mokichi is still struggling to adjust in the game, will he overcome it in the break?    

3. Recap of Episode 44

I. No chance

Episode 44, titled “Fuse,” begins with the teachers discussing their changed opinion about the Kuzuryu basketball team. Still, it was not enough to make the teachers agree to become their club advisor.

The match continues, and Shiraishi gives Fuwa instructions to shut down #11 and not let him score! Sora gets caught up chatting with Taiei’s player in the middle of the match and ends up confiding in each other.

Kuzuryu players face difficulty in scoring while Taiei continues to throw the ball in the hoop. Fuwa and Kite face-off, but Kite passes the ball to Sora when he gets no opening to score.

No matter how hard Kuzuryu tried, they couldn’t escape Taiei, and Fuwa gets a chance for a slam dunk, while Shiraishi scores a three-pointer before the time out.

II. Taiei owned the second quarter!

Nanao strategizes with Kuzuryu players, and Taiei’s coach predicts their formation, so he gives the players instructions accordingly. The game begins again, and the gap keeps increasing with Taiei in the lead gaining 51 to 31.

Mokichi faces more trouble compared to the rest of the Kuzuryu players who found no chance to score. Their teachers decide to leave, not wanting to watch their students fail miserably.

The second quarter ends, and in the half time, Taiei’s coach encourages Sora not to lose hope and gives him advice about his tell. Sora remembers Sakamaki from his mother’s funeral and asks him about being his mother’s acquaintance, Sakamaki tells Sora he was far from being as good a player as his mother.

Still, he had a long way to improve. Sora reflects on his game while washing his face, and so do the other players not wanting to give up without a fight! In the end, Kamiki meets Sora!

Ahiru no Sora, also known as “Sky of the Duck” or “Sora the Duck,” is a Japanese basketball manga series written and illustrated by Takeshi Hinata. It started serialization in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2003.
