Aharen-San wa Hakarenai with Eccentric MC Makes Anime Debut in April 2022

Sometimes she’s too close and sometimes she’s too far; Aharen-san from Aharen-san wa Hakarenai has no sense of distance. But there’s one person who can deal with her lack of understanding of personal space: her desk partner, Raidō.

As if the comic timing of this manga wasn’t enough, Asato Mizu’s style of drawing expression-less comedy adds the extra punch.

This story is about Reina Aharen and Raidō’s unusual friendship. The friendship soon turns into something more, and we’re here to witness all of the wholesomeness. This light-hearted comedy with its interesting characters can make anyone fall in love with it.

The serialization of the manga began in 2017, and now it is finally receiving an anime.

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai (Aharen is Unfathomable) is set for its anime debut in April 2022. Now all those who are not into manga can also enjoy this cute love story.

Teaser of Aharen-San wa Hakarenai

The franchise revealed the most adorable teaser for the upcoming anime featuring Aharen-san and Raidō.

The teaser takes you to the day Raidō and Reina became friends and how it happened. It also reveals just how tiny Aharen-san is compared to Raidō.

Moreover, it is shown that her voice is inaudible even when she’s standing super close to a person. Her being that close might make an average person agitated but not Raidō.

Since the manga exceeded 100 million views on Jump+, the anime’s decision was announced with a cute visual.

The art style is soft, aesthetic, and very calming. Aharen and Raidō are seen with their lunch boxes lying around. Having their lunch together has become an everyday practice for the pair.

Aharen-san’s inability to gauge distance is a symbolism of how she is around people.

She will either be so mysterious that you wouldn’t know anything about her, or she’ll be so friendly that you’ll get daily updates on what she had for dinner.

But one thing is sure that once you call her your friend, she will do everything to make you happy.

Even though Reina is inaudible most of the time, she still has a voice actor, and so does Raidō.

About Aharen-san wa Hakarenai

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Asato Mizu. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ service in January 2017, and has been compiled into eleven tankōbon volumes.

The story follows the “indecipherable” daily life of the short and quiet Reina Aharen and Raidou who sits next to her in class. Aharen is not so good at gauging the distance between people, and Raidou initially sensed some distance between the two of them.

Then one day, when Raidou picked up the eraser that Aharen had dropped, the distance between them suddenly became uncomfortably close.
