In episode 6 of Aheran is Indecipherable, Aharen and Raido remained in competition as of the previous episode. In swimming, ping-pong, and even the shooting zombie game, Raido tried his best to win, but he was always beaten by Aharen.

The episode ended with Ren finally making an entry. It wasn’t until Aharen came back and shocked Raido that he figured out he was similar to Aharen. In the end, Ren was using Aharen’s clothes and he enjoyed them immensely.

Here are the latest updates.

Episode 7 Speculations

Laughing at the fact that Aharen was winning every game she played against Raido was as hilarious as ever. Episode 6 ended with Ren making an appearance. Even Raido was fooled by him as he is a mirror image of Aheran.

Episode 6 Recap

Last week’s show was quite middling, but thankfully Aharen-san is back with a vengeance this week. She even has a gun in her hand! Everyone put on your bulletproof kneepads and codpieces, there is a tiny terror scuttling under your eye line with a thirst for blood!

In reality, Aharen-san has stayed true to its formula of success, but it is now focusing on sports.

In an attempt to finally defeat the incomparable talents of his companion, Raido challenges Aharen to all manner of physical competitions, hoping his impressive height and wide build will give him the sweet taste of victory.

He is too uncoordinated to even tell a yardstick from a mile away, as a result of which he is a parade of failure, as embarrassing as it is hilarious.

Each gag is filled with so many small touches that add so much to it. As he “speeds” through the water, Raido slaps the water. I really live for the “newton serve” he delivers to Aharen at the end of the ping-pong rally, which is the slowest, softest I’ve ever seen.

Or when Raido’s granny shoots a gutter ball at the bowling alley and makes the most incredible mouth noises.

It is mostly the same joke throughout this episode’s first five or so segments, but there is enough variation in delivery and timing to keep it interesting. I am glad to see the series back with its best presentation.

The final sketch has some new supporting cast, though it is not all sports chicanery. The Aharen Raido encountered in the OP was definitely a sibling, not a body snatcher.

Seeing Raido’s mind go to such weird places (Amnesia? Body doubles? Clone? ), and the reveal coming so quickly made it a bit more fun to watch.

The revelation that Ren was Reina’s younger brother or that Ren likes to casually raid Reina’s closet and crossdress was a surprise to me. The episode’s post-credits scene surprised me with its casual and sweet treatment of Ren.

A notable part of Aharen-allure san’s reputation is how well its cast has been handled. Throughout the series’ run, Raido and Aharen have been presented as goofy characters throughout the series’ run. Still, their silliness has been infectious, inviting the viewer to laugh alongside them, not at them.

It’s hard for me to measure Reina’s neurodiversity, but I can see why some viewers feel she’s neurodivergent, so that makes the show more lovable. Raido and her friends try to understand and know Aharen despite her initially distant appearance as they support her and try to understand the world she lives in.

Whether this coding is intentional or not, I believe many people who are uncomfortable socializing would appreciate and enjoy hearing a story like that – as someone who has struggled with severe social anxiety for years, I would have appreciated a group of friends as sincere and nonjudgmental as Raido’s.

About Aharen-san wa Hakarenai

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Asato Mizu. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ service in January 2017, and has been compiled into eleven tankōbon volumes.

The story follows the “indecipherable” daily life of the short and quiet Reina Aharen and Raidou who sits next to her in class. Aharen is not so good at gauging the distance between people, and Raidou initially sensed some distance between the two of them.

Then one day, when Raidou picked up the eraser that Aharen had dropped, the distance between them suddenly became uncomfortably close.
