Plot of the Golden Kamuy Live-Action Film
The story unfolds in Hokkaido’s early 20th-century wilderness, where Saichi Sugimoto, a war hero nicknamed “Immortal,” embarks on a quest for a hidden gold stash. He joins forces with Asirpa, an Ainu girl driven by revenge.
They’re up against First Lieutenant Tsurumi, who’s eyeing the gold for his soldiers’ sake, and Toshizo Hijikata, a formidable ex-commander with his motives. Their intense race for the treasure sets off a fierce survival showdown in the northern wilds.

About Golden Kamuy
Golden Kamuy is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Satoru Noda. It was serialized in August 2014 in the seinen magazine Weekly Young Jump. The manga concluded in April 2022 and has been collected into 31 volumes.
The plot revolves around Saichi Sugimoto, who is a battle veteran from the Russo-Japanese war.
