Intel’s Arc A380 is an entry-level graphics card featuring the ACM-G11 GPU based on Xe-HPG architecture. The processor was released by GUNNIR exclusively in China, retailing for over $500. The card was quickly sold out after launch. Since then, the A380 has not been available elsewhere.
ASRock plans to expand its GPU inventory to include Intel’s Arc GPUs. GUNNIR will no longer be the only company offering custom Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs.
A video posted on Bilibili confirmed the new custom A380 SKU. However, the video does not mention the exact specs and release date.
ASRock is the only company in the field catering to both Intel and AMD discrete GPUs. This won’t be their first collaboration with Intel. The company has already released the range of Intel’s 600-series motherboard, with the 700-series next in line.
The ASRock Arc A380 Challenger GPU is an entry-level card with a custom PCB design featuring a dual-slot and single-fan design. The sides are imprinted with “Intel Arc.”
It has a single 8-pin power connector and a spiral aluminum heatsink as the cooling system. Fans are expecting the graphics card to have a higher TDP than the official model.
The pricing is expected to be somewhere around $150. The configuration is the same as GUNNIR’s custom A380 Photon card.
With this initiative, ASRock will no longer be an exclusive partner to AMD Radeon. There is no confirmation yet, but recent rumors suggest the company will also be launching its own monitors designed for gaming. It won’t be surprising to see the major players like MSI, ASUS, and Gigabyte adding Arc GPUs to their lineups.
