Ace of Diamond is an underrated gem in the sports genre of the otaku world. While many know about its existence, there are only a few who appreciate it and anxiously wait for new chapters and episodes.
The manga’s sequel, Act II, follows the same themes and dreams as the original, just with a new set of first-years and upperclassmen. Seido High’s baseball club still aims for the summer tournament before the seniors graduate and retire.
It won’t be long till their dream and hard work comes to fruition as the ‘Ace of Diamond Act II’ manga will end this month. The final chapter will be out in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine’s 48th issue on October 26.

The last few chapters of the manga have been nothing but show-stopping and intense. Seidou has been going up against a fellow powerhouse and long-time rival, Inashiro Industrial.
Seidou and Inashiro have a history of beating each other in crucial tournaments. Both schools are on par with each other, and it’s always an intense and entertaining match with them on the field.
As always, Act II also intends to end with a match between these fated rivals and settle the score once and for all. Despite being so close to the end of their match, there’s no way you can predict who’ll be the winner due to the scores being too tight.
The schools often end up winning by a point or two, making it impossible to forecast the results. Due to this, their matches are much anticipated, and fans can’t take their eyes off them until they finish the chapter or episode.
Ace of Diamond’s latest chapter is nothing less than perfection. It has everything you expect from a sports manga: great strategy, great sportsmanship, and last-minute lucky hits by the protagonist.
As excited as I am for the finale, I still can’t believe this epic story is ending. However, Act III is still a possibility, so let’s pray for that as soon as the final chapter is out.
