2022 Roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Outlines Upcoming Content

Ubisoft had stated earlier that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla would receive the most post-launch support of any game in the franchise that came before it. The game is now a little over a year old, and Ubisoft is sticking to their word of adding new content to the game. A new roadmap for the game has been released, giving fans a good look into what to expect from the game in 2022.

Announced through the game’s official Twitter account, the roadmap highlights all the new content being added to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla from now to March. Firstly, the game will receive Title Update 1.5.0 on February 22nd. Ubisoft did not go into the details of what this update will include, but it will have some decent surprises as it is considered important enough to include in the roadmap.

With the update, those who have not purchased Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will have the chance to do so for free. Ubisoft will be initiating a free trial from February 24th – 28th; four whole days to do everything you can that Valhalla has to offer. The studio is hoping the tease of the trial will get more people to purchase the full game.

The free trial periods are also generally accompanied by sales on the game, and given that the game has been out for over a year, we can expect a sizable price drop. There are also the extra pieces of DLC to think of, so it’s the perfect game for someone looking to invest a lot of time.

New content is also coming to Valhalla in March. March 10th is the launch of the new major piece of DLC Dawn of Ragnarok, which will focus on Odin’s attempts to rescue his son Baldur. It’s great to see so much new content being put out for Valhalla, and Ubisoft will have much more to add before they release a new game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

That new game might be closer than fans expect, as there are already rumors floating around that it will focus on Basim and be more in line with the games from earlier in the franchise. We don’t have any official word on this new game, but it will be exciting to see how Assassin’s Creed transforms in the future.
