Who to hand out the Bishop’s silver to is a tough decision you need to make to complete the War Weary mission in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You can either choose from one of the other characters and deal with the consequences or be a little selfish and keep the money for yourself.
War Weary is one of the many decision based missions you will find in AC Valhalla. Unlike its predecessors, AC Valhalla is much more story driven and with every action you make the consequences also vary making the game more immersive.
Following Ceolbert, you as Eivor will end up in a church and meet Bishop Deorlaf. The Bishop impressed with Eivor’s rational thinking will instruct to offer the 650 silver coins to whomever Eivor can if that would act as a bribe to not go for a war.
1. All Choices Explained
- Keep the silver to yourself
- Give it to Angharad
- Give it to Ivarr
- Give it to Gwiard
- Give it to Ynyr
Are you are stuck at this point in the game and are having a tough time thinking about which one you should choose? Have a look at the options and make your decision!
i. Choice 1: Keep the silver to yourself
When you choose this option, Eivor lies to the Bishop and keeps the 650 silver coins. This is a good choice in my opinion, as silver coins are hard to come by and 650 coins might buy you more gears for your fights later.
ii. Choice 2: Give it to Angharad
Choosing Angharad, she proposes to calm down the men hoping for war in exchange for some silver. Things don’t really go as planned but she will surely remember Eivor’s kindness in the long run and hand you a brooch later.
So, you can choose her if you have collectibles in mind while playing.
a. What Collectible Do I Get From Angharad?
Although, things don’t go as planned after you choose Angharad, she does not forget your kindness and later repays it by gifting you a Briton Cloak Brooch worth 38 silver resale value.
iii. Choice 3: Give it to Ivarr
Choosing Ivarr, he plans to take the crown from King Rhodri by force. Although, Bishop knowing about your choice is quite sceptical of Ivarr as well. Ivarr is also not a wise choice to many as he takes the coins promising to stop the war but escalates things anyway by killing off Gwiard.
iv. Choice 4: Give it to Gwiard
Choosing Gwiard, he will vow to snatch the throne from King Rhodri’s hand and end his tyrant rule. But like every other option he will be killed in the hands of Ivarr and you will not be able to support Gwiard in his endeavors, despite you choosing him as a way to show your support.
Although, after his death, Gwiard will still have the silver coins on him and you will be able to get them back and keep them for yourself.
v. Choice 5: Give it to Ynyr
Choosing Ynyr, he will promise to talk to King Rhodri and find out a peaceful way to deal with things. But during all the murderous rampage of Ivarr, he will quickly run away with the silver.
Although, you will easily be able to catch and kill him, the coins will magically disappear from his person.
Remember, whatever choice you may make, none of them will neither stop King Rhodri from starting the war nor Ivarr from killing Gwiard in cold blood.
2. Who Should I Give The Silver To?
You should give the silver to Gwiard, King Rhodri’s younger brother in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s “Bishop’s Silver Mission.” Gwiard would vow to dethrone his brother and you can retrieve the silver from looting him after his demise later.
As you know silver is hard to come by in the game, so your best bet at getting free coins is if you choose the lie to the Bishop option and keep them for yourself or if you give them to Gwiard, you can loot the coins from his body after his tragic death. Since whatever choice you end up making would eventually kill him anyway!
But, if you want to go the collectibles route, you can choose Angharad and later receive a collectible from her.
