AC Valhalla: Who is Havi? Everything You Need to Know

If you’re a Norse mythology fan and playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, chances are you have come across names likes Odin and Thor, but there’s also the name ‘Havi’ thrown in the mix in Valhalla!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla not only makes you switch from Norway to England, but there are a few trips to Asgard as well. Here not only do we witness the fall of a great empire but also come across some familiar faces resembling our own characters names like Havi, Tyr, and Loki, but who exactly are they?

1. Who is Havi in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

Havi is another name for Odin, who is the king of all gods in Norse mythology. Havi roughly translates to the ‘High One’ and is often portrayed as such in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Now Havi is not called the high one just because Eivor gets high on shrooms while traveling to the Asgard vision to act out as Havi, but mostly because he is at the top of the mythology pyramid.

The resemblance between the present-day Eivor and Havi in Asgard is not just a coincidence but was made so as to signify the link between the characters.

2. Is Eivor Odin in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

If you had not already guessed it, Eivor is modeled very close to Havi/Odin as you play through both of them. Turns out Havi is also an Isu and was destined to die during Ragnarok.

Odin at the Fall of Asgard

Havi/Odin is reincarnated as Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. During the fall of Asgard, Odin and eight other Isus had uploaded themselves using Isu technology to be safe from the wrath of Ragnarok and be reincarnated.

This is also explained in the secret endings, where we come to realize how Loki tricked his way into reincarnation with the other Isus.

3. Why Did Eivor Reject Odin in the End if They Are the Same?

Those of you who’ve gone through the ending must have realized that Eivor basically goes against the wishes of Odin. But you must be thinking that weren’t they supposed to be the same guy, just reincarnated?

Odin is not reincarnated in his true self unlike in other fictional universes. Eivor is his own self and in no way controlled by Odin.

The human part of Eivor can suppress the Isu reincarnation in himself and that is exactly what we witness towards the end of Valhalla. When Eivor realizes the promises of Odin are not something he’d like to live by, his human self overcomes the Isu-Odin self.

4. Is Havi Present in the Real Norse Mythology?

Havi is not just a game cannon invented by Ubisoft. It is indeed present in the real Norse mythology as well.

Not only that, but Odin is known by many such nicknames, and the list is kind of long. Here, look for yourself! [List of Names of Odin].
