Frustrating issues will always pop up in colossal games like AC Valhalla, which feature a sprawling map brimming with oodles of content. Therefore, patches must be rolled out time after time to prevent glitches from piling up. Laziness from the devs’ side can end up destroying a game to its absolute core.
Luckily that is not the case with Ubisoft. They promised to provide AC Valhalla with the longest post-launch support in the franchise’s history, and here they are walking the talk with Title Update 1.4.2.
Rolling out on February 1 at 4 am PST / 7 am EST / 12 pm GMT, AC Valhalla’s Title Update 1.4.2 will fix a problem that made HD textures go missing. Alongside this improvement, the patch will also look to add three new item packs to the game:
- Lunar New Year Pack: This Pack contains two Gear Sets, two Weapons, a Mount skin, and a Raven skin and will be available on February 15.
- Moonlight Weapons Pack: This pack contains four weapons and will be available on March 3.
- Dragon Knight Pack: This Pack contains two Gear Sets, two Weapons, a Mount skin, and a Raven skin and will be available on March 22.
It’s great to see that enthusiasts’ bellyaching did not fall on deaf ears. For a long time, HD textures caused inconvenience to players as they wouldn’t load in and go missing during gameplay. With Ubisoft taking all bugs, irrespective of their significance, seriously, AC Valhalla is bound to offer a polished gaming experience.
Now coming to the patch size, Title Update 1.4.2 will demand a measly download ranging from 3GB-11GB, depending on your platform.

While it’s always good news for any gaming community when a patch does not have a lot to rectify, many would say that the update feels almost incomplete with just one bug fixed.
If you belong to the same category, I’d suggest that you wait for a little over a month for AC Valhalla to hit the market with their much-anticipated Dawn of Ragnarok DLC. Releasing on March 10, the upcoming AC Valhalla expansion will surely stir things up by adding another dimension to the game.
