Assassin’s Creed Valhalla can be a pretty demanding experience if you choose to explore the entire expanse of the game’s open world. But thankfully, you can also sit back and take a breather with Orlog: a dice game popular with the citizens of the game.
In Orlog, two players compete against each other to bring down the opponent’s Health Points.
Dice rolls help players acquire axes and arrows that deal damage or helmets and shields that block attacks. Players can also call upon unique God Favors to tip the odds in their favor.
Much like Gwent from The Witcher, the mini-game received much appreciation from fans post the release of AC Valhalla.
As a result, Ubisoft put official merchandise partner PureArts in charge of creating a real-life version of the game, which led to the company starting its Kickstarter campaign.
Now, PureArts has announced that the fundraiser has surpassed its initial goal of $59,816, making a real-life release of Orlog imminent.
Along with three complete box sets of the game, PureArts is also offering many unique items to benefactors.
These items include a replica Viking horn, a linen cloth Orlog game mat, real stone Health Counters, metal Game Coins, a linen fabric bag for all game pieces, and glow-in-the-dark Orlog dice.

Orlog will be PureArts’ first foray into board games. But those having doubts about the quality of the final product should take a look at the company’s Kickstarter page; PureArts ain’t messing around.
Here’s a breakdown of the three Orlog editions that PureArts is working on. The variations depend on how much you pledge to the project:
Early Bird Standard Edition
An early bird pledge is one made within 48 hours of the campaign kicking off. This will set you back by CA$ 44 and get you the following:
- Designed cardboard box
- 2 Wooden dice bowls
- 32 cardboard stones for health counters
- 50 Tokens
- 2 sets of 20 God Favor cards
- 2 Acrylic dice sets
- 1 Game coin
Standard Edition
The Standard edition will fetch you the same merch as the early bird edition listed above. But since you missed the early bird discount, you’ll have to pledge CA$ 49.
Tavern Edition
The Tavern Edition is the most superior one of them all. Priced at a pledge of CA$ 249, it includes all the materials from the Standard Edition along with two notable additions: a linen game mat and a horn replica with a wooden base.
What’s more, the horn replica is a true collectible as it is exclusive to this Kickstarter campaign.
It is not clear when Orlog will officially arrive on shelves, but Kickstarter lists an estimated delivery date of December 2021 for supporters.
