AC Valhalla River Raids: Missions, Loot and How to Leave the Raids!

AC Valhalla players had almost finished the story part of the game within a month or two of its release and were already asking for some new DLC. That’s when the River Raids update came to the rescue. Not only did the bored gamers get a few new missions to engage in but also the promising River Raids loot made the update even more worth it.

If you are planning to start the update or struggling being one of those players still stuck in the game, unable to leave, then this one’s for you. Here’s all you need to know about the River Raids update in AC Valhalla.

1. What is the River Raids Update in AC Valhalla?

The River Raids update in AC Valhalla is a DLC for the game which lets players enjoy both the voyage and looting/raiding aspect of the game. The missions in River Raids consists of raiding military camp bases and looting weapons, armor or any other collectibles.

Although, you have to fight a lot of enemies in all the River Raids missions. Might I suggest you to keep a lookout and definitely collect all the pieces of the Saint George Armor Set so that you can use it in Eivor’s main story.

2. How to Start the River Raids in AC Valhalla?

To start the River Raids, players need to approach Vagn in Ravensthrope and start the tutorial on how to take command of the longboat. After doing so, Vagn will request to upgrade the Jomsviking Hall before starting the raids.

With the Jomsviking Hall upgraded, players can again approach Vagn and click on the start a raid option.

After completing the River Raids, your main concern should be returning to the main game. If you haven’t been able to figure it out, here is a simple way.

3. How to End/Leave River Raids in AC Valhalla?

When Eivor is in command of the longship, players can just return to your settlement and continue their main game.

In-order to do that, simply hold down the G button in the keyboard or D-pad on controllers and highlight the Return to Settlement icon.

This will immediately send your character to Ravensthrope so that you can continue your main story.

Now, here’s all the River Raids missions found in each of the rivers.

4. All the River Raids Missions

After meeting Vagn in Ravensthorpe and building him a longship dock for voyage, the players can unlock the first River Raid mission titled “A River to Raid” where the goal is to simply loot a military supply chest.

The River Raids missions are concentrated in three rivers: River Exe, River Severn, and River Dee. Each river’s map is unlocked when Eivor completed the mission assigned and has a chat with Vagn.

The River Raids Missions:

• A River to Raid – The first River Raids mission that starts immediately after agreeing to go raiding with Vagn.
• The Legend of Saint George – A mission that starts after A River to Raid is completed. Vagn informs Eivor about the treasures found in River Exe and Severn and gives 3 missions to search for them.
• Treasures of River Exe – 1 out of the 3 missions given by Vagn after completing The Legend of Saint George. Saint George’s Tower Shield and Saint George’s Cape can be found amongst the military bases.
• Treasures of River Severn- 2 out of the 3 missions given by Vagn after completing The Legend of Saint George. Saint George’s Trousers and Saint George’s Bracers can be found amongst the military bases.
• The Legacy of Saint George- 3 out of the 3 missions given by Vagn after completing The Legacy of Saint George. This mission can point out some clues to finding the Saint George Treasure in River Exe and River Severn. After completing The Legacy of Saint George, River Dee is unlocked.
• Treasures of River Dee- 1 out of the 2 missions given by Vagn after completing The Legacy of Saint George. Saint George’s Armor and Saint George’s Great Helm can be found in one of the military bases located in River Dee.
• Sword of Saint George – 2 out of the 2 missions given by Vagn after completing The Legacy of Saint George. First, Eivor needs to fight and defeat the champion in Deva Victrix and then search for Saint George’s Holy Sword in the main fortress.

With all the missions completed, you might have all the Saint George Armor pieces to wear. If not, make sure to raid every military base and search for them.
