It’s Spring celebration time in AC Valhalla’s Ostara Festival and Alvis needs your help in the Spiritual Defense quest.
The Ostara festival brings a variety of activities and rewards to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Follow this guide to start the Spiritual Defense quest, and earn all the rewards of the festival in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
1. How to Start the Spiritual Defense Quest?
To start Spiritual Defense speak to Alvis during the night in the Ostara Festival. Alvis can be found just outside the Northern festival grounds near a small pond.
When you’ll reach the pond you’ll find Ake who’ll guide you to the quest. This quest can be easily missed as it is not available all the time like all the other quests. I would recommend tracking it using your journal.
2. Completing the Spiritual Defense Quest
Alvis is sceptical about the festival’s defenses against spirits and wants you to create a protective barrier of bonfires to keep them out. First, you need to fire eight fire pits outside the settlement and then defeat the spirits.
The fire pits are actually not that hard to find. Use your bird to find them or just follow the location guide. The first one is in the middle of the lake just a little south of your starting point.
The second one is behind the old river raids building, near the river in the Southern part of the settlement.
Find the third fire pit on a cliff in the Easter region of the settlement.
The fourth firepit is South of Ravensthorpe on the top of the hill just opposite to the river.
Next to the Blacksmith Building, find the fifth fire pit.
In the graveyard near the big tree, you’ll see the sixth fire pit.
The next fire pit is on a cliff which oversees the Seer’s Hut.
The final fire pit is also nearby, just down the cliff on the other side of the wooden bridge.
Once you light all the eight fire pits, meet back with Ake during nighttime and he will take you to activate the Foul Totem, which would draw any spirits towards you.
After activating the totem, defeat the spirits. This would complete the quest, rewarding you with 140 Festival Tokens.
