Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been pretty devoted to representing and celebrating various aspects of the Norse culture with a satisfactory level of accuracy.
A data miner and leaker named Pedder has been able to uncover and reveal these festival-based events ahead of time, and they seem to have done it once again.
Seemingly first shared by YouTuber andyreloads with shots of Pedder’s datamining, it seems that the next festival discovered is the Oksoreia Festival, also known as the Festival of The Wild Hunt.
Andyreloads also speculates that this next festival will begin on October 12th, coinciding with the game’s 5-week title update schedule.
While we will see a return of some aspects from past festivals in The Wild Hunt festival, there are also quite a few new details that have been mentioned in the game files.
Many fans will have the chance to take part in Archery contests again, and the Tournament-like structure as well, but the central theme of the festival will be to avoid The Wild Hunt.
To do this, players will have access to several new quests in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which consist of honoring the dead, traveling to the nether realm, discovering Odin runes, defending Ravensthorpe, and much more.
New mounted combat options will also be available, as they will be essential to complete some horseback challenges during the festival.
It seems like a more exciting story based on dialogues and mentions, with equally satisfying gameplay options. It is yet to release though, so the festival’s quality compared to others remains to be seen.
The festival will apparently end with Eivor declaring Ravensthorpe to be safe from The Wild Hunt, but we won’t see Eivor go head-to-head with them at any time.
Rewards for this festival include a new Scythe, a new armor set, a new Raven skin, new hair and beard cosmetic for Eivor, and maybe some more. No code has been found which hints at cosmetic changes to the settlement whenever this festival does release.
The Discovery Tour: Viking Age is the last piece of officially confirmed content for 2021. More events and DLC are slated for Valhalla in 2022, which is a lot of content for a single game that was released last year!
