Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the upcoming title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux. The developers had promised that they are “going back to the roots” in a detailed video released last month.
In a Twitter post, the official Assassin’s Creed Mirage account posted a video revealing that they are bringing back the outfit dyeing feature last seen in Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. The video gave a glimpse into the different hues of outfits that Basim can equip.
The developers also released a behind-the-scenes video of Basim’s outfit changing according to his level of training under mentor Roshan. An example was given wherein he dons a white outfit during the earlier apprentice stages.
The outfit changes, and Basim gets a red sash once he becomes a master. The developers have confirmed that this is the same red sash we saw on Basim in AC: Valhalla.
They will also include six new tools that are fit for an assassin based on the environment they operate in. This includes a torch, blow dart, throwing knife, noisemaker, trap and smoke-bomb.
A masterful Assassin must use their enviroment, skills and tools in perfect harmony to succeed.

Changes include a desaturated blue-grey color palette mode, similar to AC: I. AC: Mirage will also bring back fan-favorite features like social stealth.
While these features were the norm and loved by fans during the Ezio trilogy, they were subsequently removed during the epic titles of Origins, Valhalla and Odyssey.
Most fans, who felt the Assassin’s Creed franchise was straying far from the original stealth-based gameplay, are happy with Ubisoft’s improvements and changes.
Assassin’s Creed will promote and reward stealth instead of keyboard bashing. Attacks must be planned and calculated with changes to parkour and gameplay mechanics.
The map size has also been cut-down and is comparable to AC: Revelations’ Constantinople and AC Unity’s Paris. This means 9th century Baghdad in AC: Mirage will be a small but concentrated area for “vertical movement” and force players to rely heavily on stealth when the game comes out on October 12th, 2023.
