To protect the dojo (which he will be the successor to) and his love, Mikoto, Shinobu practices day and night to sharpen his other senses. His reasons to live were stolen in one fell swoop, but he still fights for them.

The Abyss Rage manga is supposed to reach its climax soon, according to the Twitter account of Manga Mogura, a manga news account.

It is being published on the Shonen Jump Plus website since May 2018. The English version of the manga can be read on the Manga Plus app of Shueisha.

Chapter 80 Recap

In the latest chapter released on the Manga Plus website, Chief Magami shows his contempt for the love between Shinobu and Mikoto. According to him, a person can be a lover only when they have the utmost ability to protect his/her love.

Chief Magami denies the love between Mikoto and Shinobi simply because they are too weak in his eyes, and love is for stronger beings. Mikoto corners him by saying that he can’t kill her because that would make him lose his chance to see true love.

In the meantime, Kashiwagi enters and reports to Amagami that the prison has been swallowed in darkness, and in such a state, no prisoner will be able to fight except Shinobu. Shinobu appears out of the darkness to take back Mikoto.

Speculations for Next Chapter

From the looks of it, Shinobu is bound to enter into combat with Chief Magami or at least the other prisoners.
