The announcement was made during the NBC Universal Japan Anime Industry Panel at Anime NYC 2024 on 23 August 2024. A teaser visual of the main protagonist was also unveiled at the event. Let’s have a look at all the latest updates about the project.

The visual also teases this MMO character’s raw aura and her awakening after the line between reality and the virtual world is blurred.
Plot of the Upcoming Anime
Set in the year 2800, Lufas Maphaahl is a force to be reckoned with! She is beautiful, fierce, a great conqueror, and, most importantly, the infamous leader of the Twelve Heavenly Stars. However, her reign didn’t last long, and she suffered defeat against the heroes.
The story then shifts to the protagonist, who controls the MMO character Lufas behind the game. He wakes up in the body of his in-game MMO character 200 years after her defeat in the Exgate Online game. Now, it is up to him to unravel the new world and find new comrades while carrying the weight of Lufas’s legacy.
