Blizzard makes life hard for themselves by creating “creative choices” that do not make sense. Or so it seems at the surface level with yet another decision that has baffled Diablo IV fans.
After the commencement of Season 2 in Diablo IV, dubbed the Season of the Blood, fans have spotted an increasing number of rare items awarded, especially in the Blood Harvests, a limited-time event.

Blood Harvests is quite similar to Helltides in Season 1. Both these limited-time events take over a portion of the map. That part of the map is filled with demons that drop unique currency and rare items.
This currency can acquire unique and rare objects via loot and chests. Reputed gaming outlet PCGamer took matters into their own hands to investigate.
Typically marked by a green tinge, these zones are characterized by a skull icon on the map, showing how long it is left until it disappears. It also has the exact location of the three “Blood Lure Pedestals.”
These can be activated using the Blood Lures dropped by the enemies there. Each pedestal requires 50 blood lures but can be started by three players.
PCGamer’s Sean Martin and Tyler Colp observed that once all three Blood Lure Pedestals are activated, a group of bosses spawn. This is where the “game-breaking” thing of buckets of loot happens.

Over several games, they spotted that these bosses drop at least two Legendary Items. Mike Ybarra, President of Developers Blizzard, has revealed that these choices were intentional.
Increasing the frequency of Legendary items was driven by players complaining of a lack of loot in Season 1. In Season 1, Levels 60 to 100 were practically the same drops, and now, in Season 2, it changes at every monster level.
This means a higher item level gear drops till it maxes out at 100. Unsurprisingly, this move has the fanbase divided, where one part is lauding the choice while the other is just appalled by the ungodly number of Legendary Drops in the Season of the Blood.
The Season of The Blood provides a lesser challenge than Season 1, which means more button smashing and rewards for better gameplay. Season of the Blood is genuinely the Season of the Bounty, and some players hope this goes on.
