While not every update that Gran Turismo 7 received has been positive, Polyphony Digital’s strong support for the racing title cannot be denied. Sure, previous updates that reduced race payouts and irked a massive horde of gamers weren’t the best of decisions.
But the developer deserves a pat on the back for adding new cars, events, and race tracks to GT7, all while fixing bugs and glitches via frequent updates. Ignoring a few hiccups that came along the way, it has been great to see Polyphony working towards making GT7 a more well-rounded experience.
Keeping up the good work, Polyphony is now teasing a new update coming next week that’s surely going to excite GT enthusiasts as it’d mark the arrival of the series’ most iconic car.
GT creator Kaz Yamauchi tweeted out an image showcasing silhouettes of three additional cars that’d be added to Gran Turismo 7 next week via a new update. Given that the three vehicles are easy to identify, many eagle-eyed fans have noted that one of the silhouettes resembles the beloved Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak.
First debuting in Gran Turismo 7, Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak is one hell of a ride that can help the driver dominate any race, owing to its ridiculous speed. It weighs only 800 kilos and features 987 HP to let you break the barriers of the game’s physics and rush to the winning post.
Now jumping to the rest of the vehicles that can be introduced, fans are of the opinion that the other two silhouettes could be a Suzuki Vision Gr. 3 and a 1932 Ford Roadster.
We will have to hang about for a week for the update to go live so as to confirm if the speculation regarding the upcoming cars is accurate. As for what other changes the update will entail, Polyphony is yet to shed light on that.
With rumors suggesting that at least one of the three cars will be available at the Legendary car dealership, all fans can do is put in a grind and get those credits! If there is any additional content to be added, we will find out about it soon as the patch is just a few days away anyway.
