The journey of love between a mangaka and his mysterious assistant begins in episode 1 of A Galaxy Next Door, titled “Crunch Time with the Princess.” 

Ichirou is a mangaka who turns an orphan after his father’s death, and now he has to sustain himself through his mangas and save so that his little siblings can go to college. 

Apart from that, he needs a manager, and his quest is fulfilled when a new beautiful girl named Shiori Goshiki becomes his manager. However, things take a strange turn, and by the end of the chapter, the two have started to develop a relationship.

1. Episode 2 Speculations

Goshiki will leave Ichirou in episode 2 of A Galaxy Next Door, titled “A Feverish Handshake with the Princess.”

The anime is off to a good start, and I am really looking forward to some wholesome and cute moments in the upcoming episodes. Goshiki will tell Ichirou the secret behind the stinger, which will be quite ridiculous.

Ichirou will be quite shocked to learn about the ridiculous culture of her people and won’t agree with what she says, which will put him in danger. We will meet Ichirou’s editor, who is quite a cheerful and fun guy. 

2. Episode 2 Release Date

Episode 2 of A Galaxy Next Door will be released on Saturday, April 15, 2023. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Saturday.

3. Episode 1 Recap

A princess sets out on a journey, leaving her family behind. Ichirou is a manga artist whose father passed away after his graduation. Now he has to sustain himself through his mangas, but he isn’t much popular. 

However, he must keep working to provide for his little sister’s and brother’s school fees. He is in dire need of an assistant. His boss calls him, telling him he has got an assistant. 

He goes to meet his assistant, and she turns out to be the same princess. She introduces herself as Shiori Gosiki. He requests her to get to work immediately, and she agrees. 

Ichirou is impressed by her skills even though it is her first time doing all the work. He is pleased that he will get to finish everything before his deadline. His siblings return and tell Shiori to get a break and give them a tour of the house. 

After that, she eats lunch in her room and returns to work. She refuses to take breaks, and Ichirou starts asking her more about her about herself. She tells him she is 19 years old and used to read manga from her grandmother’s collection and fell in love with them. 

After a lot of hard work, they successfully complete the work. However, one of the pages gets missing. When Ichirou finds it, there is a lot of work needed. 

He is reluctant to take Goshiki’s help, but she asks her to know what he wants. He agrees to take her help. After working all night, they successfully complete their work.

Both of them fall asleep. When Ichirou wakes up, he sees a sharp object pointing out of Goshiki. He touches it and is suddenly sent to outer space. Goshiki pulls him back and gets angry with him. He apologizes as he thought it was a pen and she might have gotten hurt. 

She reveals that she is the princess of Star people and doesn’t desire a marriage born from a mishap. So, since he touched her stinger (the pointed thing), she must first fall in love with him to marry him.

She tells him that she reads his work and really likes it. They are the kind of lover story she wants in her life. So now, they will start with friendship first and then grow their relationship. 

4. About A Galaxy Next Door

A Galaxy Next Door is a manga written by Gido Amagakure. It is receiving an anime adaptation directed by Ryuichi Kimura at studio Asahi Production.

The anime is about a young man struggling to raise his siblings after their father’s death with not little inheritance and a passion for drawing manga.
