A Discovery Of Witches Season Two Arriving Soon

The new year will bring back A Discovery Of Witches to the screens. Prepare to get immersed in the world of witches, vampires, and other supernatural creatures as Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont continue on their quest to solve magical mysteries in the second season of the fantasy drama. A trailer and a premiere date have been released for season two of A Discovery of Witches.

The last time viewers saw Diana and Matthew, they were trying to travel back in time before Gerbert could stop them. The pair will be navigating Elizabethan Europe while looking for the Book Of Life, so it seems like they made it. Diana is also looking for a powerful witch who will teach her to control her abilities better. But it won’t be easy- they will have to be as inconspicuous as possible or, they risk being spotted.

Teresa Palmer, Matthew Goode and the rest of the star cast will return for the second season. A new member has been added to the ensemble – Steven Cree, famous for his role in Outlander, has been cast as Gallowglass for the upcoming season.

Since season one of the show received positive reactions from viewers and critics, a third season has been ordered even before the second one has premiered.

The series is based on Deborah Harkness’ book series, All Souls trilogy. The second season will focus more on the second book, Shadow Of Night, which means that the third season will conclude with the third book.

Season two will premiere on Sky One on 8th January 2021. The American viewers can watch season two on Shudder and Sundance Now on 9th January 2021.

A Discovery Of Witches revolves around Diana Bishop, a historian and a witch, but reluctantly so. When she discovers a lost manuscript called Ashmole 782, she decides she has to solve its mysteries. Matthew Clairmont, a vampire, offers to help her but witches and vampires have never got along. Should she accept his help?

A Discovery Of Witches is based on the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness. The series derives its name from the first book, A Discovery Of Witches. The second and third books are called Shadow Of Night and The Book Of Life.
