Arata Aki’s A Destructive God Sits Next To Me manga has been serializing in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Gene since 2013.
After seven years (or 12 volumes) of content, A Destructive God Sits Next To Me has come to an end. It’s final chapter was published on 15th April in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Gene. Arata Aki’s added a special artwork with the announcement of the series’ end.

In September 2018, an animated adaptation of the show’s story was taken up by EMT Squared. The anime, directed by Atsushi Nigorikawa, aired for a total of 12 episodes from January to March 2020.
All at Once performed the series’s opening theme song “Take mo’ Chance.” In contrast, AŌP performed the series’ ending theme song “Freedom de Muda ni Muteki!!”
The series’ publishing house, Media Factory, confirmed that the 12 volume is the final volume of A Destructive God Sits Next To Me.

A Destructive God Sits Next to Me Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu) is a Japanese manga series by Arata Aki. It has been serialized in Kadokawa’s shōjo manga magazine Monthly Comic Gene since January 2013. It has been collected in twelve tankōbon volumes.
The story revolves around Koyuki Seri, a comfortable going high school student who keeps a safe distance from strangers to not get caught up in their antics. Hanadori Kabuto, Koyuki’s classmate, has “chunibyo” (second-year middle school syndrome) and claims that under his eyepatch is the essence of his alter ego – God of Destruction. This slice of life manga takes us through their adventures.
