No one likes it when their favorite manga’s new chapter or anime’s new episode gets delayed. But fans worldwide are being forced to get used to these delays due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Despite the delays and lockdowns, the industry is trying its best to lift the spirit of fans around the world by providing them with the much-needed escape from reality.
Still, in some cases, the delays are inevitable.
Among these unlucky franchises who face delay is ‘A Certain Scientific Railgun.’ The anime’s new 16th episode has been delayed to July 24th.
This announcement was made on Saturday, May 16th, 2020, on the official website of the anime.
The anime’s broadcast, which was initially slated to end by June, is now going to extend till September. Beginning May 29th, the production will start to rebroadcast episodes, which will be chosen by the cast every week.
This will be followed by broadcasting one episode, which will be chosen through fans’ votes on July 10th. On July 17th, they will rebroadcast episode 15 before releasing episode 16 on the 24th.
Anime’s Previous Delay
This isn’t the first time the anime is getting delayed, though. The 7th episode of the anime was postponed from 21st to February 28th due to the same reason.
After that as well, the anime had broadcasted two special programs instead of new episodes on the 6th and 13th of March. The 13th episode was delayed to May 1st, while the 14th episode was delayed from May 8th to May 13th.
