86 Eighty-Six Part 2 Episode 6: Release Date, Speculation

86 Eighty-Six Part 2 episode five, titled “Even So,” is the latest installment of the anime series.

Shin almost loses himself while attacking the legion, making Frederica afraid that he might end up like Kiri. She also has a vision where Kiri had launched an attack on their base, intending to kill them.

Lena returns in this episode and is connecting to every pilot in the eighty-six using an upgraded Para-RAID. The episode ended with an illegal cliff-hanger where Kiri’s bloodshot eyes are hungry for blood and has entered the base.

How will Shin and the team protect themselves and Frederica? Will they finally reunite and fight alongside Lena? We’ll find out in the next episode. 

Episode 6 Speculation

In the last episode, Frederica tells Shin and the team about her vision, where she saw a colossal legion shattering a wall and a burning flag. Just as they discuss its implications, we see Kiri’s bloodshot eyes, ready to kill.

It is a little unclear whether that is an actual attack or just another vision. Either way, Kiri will wreak havoc on the base soon. The next episode will provide more clarity.

Shin and the others also might reunite with Lena as she is handling the legion situation from the Republic’s end.

Episode 6 of the 86 Eighty-Six anime, titled “I Won’t Forget”, has been released on Saturday, Nov 06, 2021.

Episode 5 Recap

The battle against Legion begins as Shin wakes Raiden up, explaining how the situation is close to the worst-case he’d imagine. He asks him not to connect to him unless it is indispensable.

As we cut to the battle, Legion decimates the first line of defense, even before they have a chance to counterattack. Back in the headquarters, the approximate number of Legion is calculated, and it is clear that every area in the theatre is under large-scale attack.

The United Kingdom of Roa Gracia and the Alliance of Wald are experiencing similar attacks.

The Nordlicht squadron reports their position, signaling that they are all ready to go. Wenzel commands them to maintain the combat lines until the other units are prepared to go, no matter the cost.

The eighty-six finally start attacking in their Reginleif, destroying the Legion. Anju launches a massive attack, targeting several Legion in one go. Kurena focuses on the commander first, informing others that she’ll be changing places.

They have managed to drive off the first wave of Legion attacks and are asked to go back and resupply. Shin says that the first wave is just a vanguard, and the second group is the main one. The Nordlicht squadron makes their way to intercept the main wave to slow them down.

Shin goes on a killing spree, putting himself at risk to destroy countless Legion singlehandedly. Frederica gets a vision where Shin’s slow descent into madness makes her extremely worried.

It seems like he was going down the same path as Kiri. After the squadron’s excellent offense, the Legion flees because they know it is an impossible fight for them.

Back at the Republic’s end, Lena makes her uncles accept the mission to hold off the Legion until she’s able to gather the eighty-six close to the breach. She connects with every pilot using an upgraded version of Para-RAID.

Frederica tells the others what she saw in her vision. She saw a shattered wall and a burning five-color flag, and a massive Legion.

They deduce that the Legion might already be in the eighty-five’s district. Just as the episode end, we see Kiri ready to attack the eighty-six directly.

86 is a Japanese science fiction light novel series, written by Asato Asato and illustrated by Shirabi, with mechanical design by I-IV.

86 follows the story of a 16-year-old girl, Vladilena Milizé, better known as Lena. Lena serves as a major in the Republic of San Magnolia’s army and a handler for the ‘Processors’ of the Republic’s ‘unmanned drones’ known as Juggernauts.

Their goal is to use these drones to defend against Legion drones developed by the Giadian Empire, which started a war with them a while back. However, there is also a dark secret which the Republic holds.
