‘Horimiya: The Missing Pieces’ will be one of the anime kicking off this summer season. Rom-com fans know how relatable ‘Horimiya’ is and how it puts dating and love in the spotlight. Compared to other high-school romances where characters keep their feelings to themselves, this one is more expressive.
The first season of Horimiya completed the story but did not cover all the chapters. This included some key events like the campus tour and the sports festival. Of course, this left a bad taste for fans but it will not for long.
On Saturday, the official website for the side story series ‘Horimiya: The Missing Pieces’ released a second promo, titled ‘Emokyun’ (The Feels). The anime will debut this summer on July 1. Crunchyroll will simulcast the series.
The trailer above looks at two stories. The first half shows the students on a sightseeing tour of sorts. The latter half shows the different characters at the sports festival.
‘Horimiya: The Missing Pieces’ will bring new stories which existed in the manga but were left out in the original season. The opening song is “Shiawase” (Happiness) by Omoinotake, Ami Sakaguchi is performing the ending song “URL”.
The following cast is returning from the 2021 series:

‘Horimiya’ is also getting a new volume 17 next month. With the anime being already popular and its strong cast returning, I can see why everyone is looking forward to ‘The Missing Pieces’ despite it being more of a filler series. It would be great if they mentioned the timeline for every story.
