‘The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You’ turns classic high-school love into ‘the most bizarre form of harem’. As the title speaks for itself, one man dating a hundred girls is unimaginable and unrealistic. Yet, it will leave you in splits as each girl behaves differently.
One of them is a classic tsundere, another one is stone-faced, and a third one is a science nerd. The protagonist Rentaro Aijo does not even have a choice of choosing one – because they are all his ‘soulmates’. To make it worse, rejecting one person will lead them to death.
On Friday, the official website for ‘The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You’ revealed its first promo with a new visual. It also revealed more cast and the release date. The anime is scheduled to arrive this fall on October 8.
In the promo, Rentaro prays at the shrine for a better love life when the shrine deity appears, startling him. He later learns that he is destined to have 100 girlfriends. The promo also introduces Rentaro’s five girlfriends along with their voice artists.
More cast members were revealed in the video. The names of all the revealed voice artists are listed below:

Some of the staff members were revealed during the announcement in March. Below is the core production staff working on the anime adaptation:

This show seems promising but not just because of its concept. There are a few ‘breaking-the-fourth wall’ moments that lift this rom-com beyond the protagonist’s initial dilemma. Because of that and the diversity of characters, this is worth trying even if you do not like the genre.
