Disney Plus’ second anniversary is coming soon, and the media giant has just the right trick up its sleeve to celebrate it.
Disney+ Day has announced nearly 11 premiere movies and shows, along with some behind-the-scenes footage that will surely attract many, as a grand celebration for the streaming platform’s subscribers.
This new content comes from the famous houses of Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, which have brought up Disney Plus’ subscribers to 116 million and counting.
The streaming platform has definitely upped its game as a sweet surprise for current subscribers and is also tempting others to join.
The global event will take place on November 12, 2021, and will feature multiple debuts, specials, and sneak peek previews of future Disney+ releases.
As per Disney’s press release, here’s everything that subscribers will be treated to:
First off is the highly-anticipated Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings streaming premiere, along with the new Disney+ Original movie Home Sweet Home Alone, the reimagination of the Home Alone franchise.
Amongst family-friendly adventures, all subscribers will have access to Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise and the all-new series Olaf Presents. It will see people’s beloved never-melting snowman retelling classic Disney tales in his style.
There are also streaming debuts of Walt Disney Animation Studios shorts, including Frozen Fever, Oscar-winning Feat, and Paperman, Mickey Mouse’s Get A Horse!, among others.
We also have Ciao Alberto, an animated short film from Pixar, featuring smash hit movie Luca’s characters.
Apart from shorts and movies, Disney+ subscribers will also get to watch five episodes of The World, According to Jeff Goldblum Season 2 from Nat Geo.
There will also be two specials, one celebrating Star Wars’ bounty hunter, Boba Fett, and one about the MCU, in addition.
Last but not least, they’ll get Michael Keaton’s original series Dopesick as a part of the Star’s general entertainment content offering.
Starting all this with a bang will be an inaugural celebration containing first looks, new trailers, exclusive clips, and even appearances from Disney+ creators and stars.
With all these and probably even more stacked up, Disney+ isn’t far from beating Netflix and becoming the top streaming platform.
Disney+ Day will be celebrated throughout November 12, 2021.
