One Piece Chapter 1125 Reveals that the World Government Planned to Turn the Iron Giant into a Weapon of Mass Destruction

Much has been happening in the Pirate Seas as One Piece reached its final saga. Just as we hoped to get some clarity about Vegapunk Satellites, we got multiple shockers in the newest Chapter 1125 of One Piece.

From the death of Stussy to the Punk records being stolen and, finally, Saint Saturn being killed by Imu. There are a lot of shockers in Chapter 1125, not the least of which is the fact that the World Government had been trying to make Weapons of mass destruction like Emet, the Iron Giant.

1. How did the World Government try to use the Iron Giant?

The World Government, under the orders of Saint Saturn, had their researchers study and examine the Iron Giant to increase their military might. This happened 200 years ago. Emet was supposed to be scrapped, but it was stopped.

As Chapter 1125 was revealed to us, many new facts were unveiled. It turns out that Saint Saturn was involved in a huge cover-up. The Iron Giant was originally meant to be scrapped for safety 200 years ago. But Saint Saturn let the researchers examine and study it.

This was so they could replicate the Iron Giant and create, maybe even mass-produce Iron Giants or similar weapons of mass destruction for the World Government’s use. This was a bad choice, seeing as the Iron Giant (Emet) woke up after two centuries just to protect Straw Hat Luffy.

We see Saint Saturn pondering about this matter and regretting the past. He couldn’t understand how the Iron Giant, dormant for over two centuries, would start up and protect Luffy.

It is very likely that without the help and timely aid of Emet, the Straw Hat Pirates would’ve been in a sticky situation. With the infamous Grand Buster Call Fleet and nine Vice-Admirals, the Straw Hats would be put in a very difficult spot with their current strength.

In a way, we all have to sigh in relief that the World Government didn’t replicate the Iron Giant, Emet. If they had even come close, they might have been able to take control of the boundless seas without a hiccup.

Until now, nothing has revealed that their 200 years of examination and experiments have borne fruit, but knowing Oda, the low-level copies of the Iron Giant (mass-produced) might jump out at us at any moment.

The robot is the Iron Giant, said to have been made 900 years ago, during the void century, and is the inspiration that Vegapunk used to make his Vegaforce-01 robot.

The full extent of its abilities is currently unknown, as it ran out of energy before causing damage. However, it could climb the Red Line and was considered far beyond the scientific knowledge of the time.

The robot was first seen when it attacked Mary Geoise 200 years ago suddenly.

The robot was inactive since it was out of power but suddenly turned on when Luffy transformed into Gear 5 form.
