As My Hero Academia is nearing its end, fans of the long-time series have been in a frenzy to know about the upcoming storyline. After the Great War, the heroes are finally getting their well-deserved rest. The previous chapter ended with Todoroki’s family’s conclusion with a small teaser of someone entering Spinner’s room. Chapter 427 of My Hero Academia has finally revealed that mysterious person.

Chapter 427 of My Hero Academia is scheduled to be released on 7 July 2024. However, spoilers of the chapter have already been out, hinting at Spinner and Overhaul’s conclusion

Deku’s Message for Spinner

Chapter 427 of My Hero Academia finally sees Deku visiting Spinner in the hospital. Elsewhere, a TV program, ‘Who was Shigaraki Tomura?’ has been going on with a reporter going around, asking the public the same question. People openly express their disdain for the villain. The old lady who’d previously ignored the plight of young Tenko after he’d unknowingly massacred his family wonders why he kept going.

At the hospital, the doctor explains that Spinner had been turning into a Nomu due to the quirks from All For One, but they were able to halt the process. Spinner questions Deku about his visit, and he reveals that Shigaraki has a message for him. Spinner thinks this is a joke but is left stunned after hearing the message.

The message reads that Tomura Shigaraki has fought to the very end to destroy. He asks if Shigaraki had mentioned anyone else, to which Deku denies.

Deku and Spinner’s Talk

Spinner mentions that he, too, like Shigaraki, wanted to destroy everything and show him a beautiful horizon at Deika City. He is aware of how his conditions increase with the emotions. He recalls that Shigaraki was the only one who believed in him when he was shunned due to his heteromorphic nature.

Then Spinner starts to morph into a monstrous being. The doctors came forward to subdue him but were stopped by Deku. A giant Spinner grips Deku and cries that Tomura Shigaraki was a hero to him. He continues defending him, in contrast to the public views, by saying he loved video games and how their tastes were also similar. He tearfully states that Shigaraki was his first friend

Deku states that Shigaraki wanted to be a hero for the League of Villains. He then explains that he saw ‘league’ inside Shigaraki’s heart and that he may have the same thoughts as Spinner, so that’s why he wanted to pass that message to him

Spinner’s Conclusion

Spinner remembers the time with Shigaraki in the cave and wonders if he could’ve saved him by taking the right step instead of mindlessly moving forward. The TV program warns about the rise of new Villains like All for One and Shigaraki.

He tells Deku that since he and the other heroes will keep fighting the new threats, they will probably forget about the League of Villains. But he will continue Shigaraki’s ideals by writing a book about him. Deku believes that it should be a comic book instead, much to Spinner’s confusion. Deku clarifies that he, too, will never forget Shigaraki

Afterward, Spinner bids Deku farewell and asks him to tell Shoji to do his best.

Outside, Deku meets All Might and Tsukauchi, who reveal Overhaul’s condition after his arrest. The Shie Hassaikai organization’s Boss, who had been in a coma, had gone on to visit him. Overhaul was shocked to see him and asked about it. The boss explained that the support items had negated Overhaul’s quirk effects. He tells him that since the organization had been dissolved, he’s no longer his boss.

He then berates Chisaki for his actions and says his assistant should’ve stopped him. Chisaki breaks down at that and apologizes to him. The boss states that he should apologize to his granddaughter, Eri, instead. He tells Overhaul that she will forget about him, but he will remain by his side forever, reminding him of his wrongdoings

Deku asks Tsukauchi about how they could avoid another situation like Eri’s, to which he expresses its impossibility. He jokes that the only way they could do it is by telling Hawks to multiply the number of heroes.

All Might reminds Deku that he has to return to School as the First Year’s have arrived at UA. Deku wonders if they’ll ever get the chance to greet them. The chapter ends with Todoroki and Bakugo being chased by a mob of first-year fangirls.
