How to Unlock the Hidden Finger Ruins of Dheo Easily in Elden Ring DLC

The Shadow of Erdtree expansion adds many new details and embellishes the tale of Elden Ring. With a myriad of quests and special items to find, the players find themselves challenged by the difficulty of the DLC.

One such quest that the players have to complete is the quest given by Count Ymir at the Manus Metyr. The quest entails finding and exploring Finger Ruins, the most challenging of which is the Ruins of Dheo.

1. How to get to the Finger Ruins of Dheo in Elden Ring?

To get to the Finger Ruins of Dheo-

1. Obtain the O Mother gesture from the southern side of the Bonny Village.
2. Assuming that the Shadow Keep’s Back Gate Site of Grace has been unlocked, teleport there.
3. Ascend the stairs next to the Site of Grace and enter the doorway to the left.
4. There is a headless statue of Marika, use the O Mother in front of it.
5. A path opens up that will lead to the Ruins of Dheo.

The Ruins of Dheo is located in the Fingerstone Hill region. The prerequisite to reaching the Ruins is unlocking the Hinterland path by using the O Mother Gesture at the Shadow Keep.

Finding the O Mother Gesture can be tricky if one doesn’t know where exactly to look for it.

2. Where to find the O Mother Gesture in Elden Ring?

The O Mother Gesture can be found near the Bonny Village in the Scadu Atlas region in Elden Ring. To get there:

1. Fast-travel to Moorth Ruins and travel east until a large underground opening is visible.
2. Jump down and proceed in the tunnels until the end to reach Bonny Village.
3. Head north-east where the Gesture can be obtained from a statue.

From the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace head in the east direction. After a while, you will see a large underground entrance. It looks like a huge opening in the ground with broken boulders around.

Jump into the tunnels and navigate it to reach a ladder leading to the Bonny Village.

3. How to use the O Mother Gesture in Elden Ring?

The O Mother Gesture can be used in front of the Statue of Marika located in the room next to the Site of Grace in the Back Gate of the Shadow Keep. This opens up a route to the Hinterland and furthers Count Ymir’s quest line.

The O Mother emote can be used to unlock new playable content in the Land of Shadow. To do this the player has to first arrive at the Shadow Keep’s Lost Site of Grace.

Proceed to navigate the rafters and lifts which are aplenty. This will lead the player to the Shadow Keep’s Back Gate Site of Grace.

From there head to the right to find a room with the huge Statue of Marika. You will be able to obtain a Scadutree fragment here. Use the O Mother emote in front of the statue and it will slide to the right. This will open up a path to the Hinterland and by extension, the Second Ruin in Ymir’s questline.

4. Reaching the Fingerstone Hill

Head down the cliff and stay on the beaten path while riding forward. While moving ahead, you will face two Tree Sentinels, either defeat or run away from them. Keep in mind their surprise attack can shave away a lot of your Health.

Continue on your path, onto a bridge, and head east. Activate the Hinterland Bridge Site of Grace. You will soon arrive at another Site of Grace, the Fingerstone Hill. Beware of the Fallingstar Beast Boss in this area.

5. Reaching the Ruins of Dheo in Elden Ring

Continue heading in the southern direction and you will see the fog has surrounded you and is getting denser. Equip a lantern and travel further.

You might have to fight and run away from the swarms of finger monsters but stay on the path. You will see the huge ancient structures signaling that you have reached the Finger Ruins of Dheo.
