Football fans unite! EA FC 25 is launching in two months. The legendary FIFA franchise now goes by a different name. However, the spirit remains the same. The next chapter welcomes new faces, old favorites, your beloved leagues and a brand new 5v5 gameplay mode!
New 5v5 Rush Mode
The Volta mode will be replaced by a new 5v5 mode called Rush. It’s just like your standard football match except with a few changes. It will be a fast-paced, small-sided football game, lasting only seven minutes with no half-time.
The team will consist of five players– four human players and one AI-controlled goalkeeper. However, players can control the goalkeeper’s movements.
One perk in this mode is that even if a player goes offline, AI will take over in its place and continue playing until he/she returns.
Rush will employ a unique kick-off style called Race to Ball. Either of the two launchers placed on opposite sides of the halfway line will eject a ball. Players will race to the ball thus beginning the match.

EA FC 25 is set to launch on September 27 across various platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, fans who opt for the Ultimate Edition can get a head start and play the game a week early on September 20.
Additionally, those who pre-order the game by August 20 will receive exclusive rewards, including an untradeable FC 25 Origin Hero Player Item on September 20, an FC 25 Prime Hero on November 28, and an untradeable Hero or Icon Player Item for their FC 24 Ultimate team.
