SPOILERS AHEAD! This page contains spoilers from Deadpool & Wolverine.

1. Original Deadpool: The Variant from The First Two Deadpool Movies

Naturally, the titular Deadpool appears prominently in Deadpool & Wolverine. This version takes place in Earth-10005, the official multiversal designation for Fox’s X-Men film timeline. After establishing his use of Cable’s time machine, which included traveling to Earth-616 to join the Avengers, Deadpool & Wolverine depict Wade as a car salesman who has formally retired from heroic operations.

When the TVA appears and informs Deadpool of a threat looming over his timeline, the hero springs back into action. Of course, this variant of Deadpool gets the most screen time as the film’s lead. By the time of the film’s ending, Deadpool encounters several other versions of himself, some more friendly than others.

2. Dogpool

Dogpool, also known as Mary Poppins, has the second-most highest screen time in Deadpool & Wolverine. This figure arrives in the Void as a companion to another Deadpool version, but he develops an attachment to the original Deadpool. Throughout the film, Dogpool appears as someone who wishes to be near the titular duo of Deadpool and Wolverine.

In the last act, Dogpool emerges alongside the rest of the Deadpool Corps. Dogpool rushes towards Deadpool and Wolverine before they can be attacked by the other variations. Dogpool is based on the same character from Marvel Comics but as a very different type of dog.

3. Nicepool

Early set photographs from Deadpool & Wolverine revealed Ryan Reynolds filming as a long-haired Deadpool. Many call this variant a samurai version of Deadpool, but in the movie he is called Nicepool. This version of the character is the first owner of Dogpool and assists the original Deadpool and Wolverine on their journey through the Void.

Nicepool, like Dogpool, appears in the final act of Deadpool & Wolverine before the appearance of the Deadpool Corps. Unfortunately, Nicepool lacks the same abilities as the other variants and cannot regenerate, resulting in a tragically funny death scene after one of the film’s best meta jokes. However, Nicepool’s legacy lives on when the original Deadpool takes up his weapons and avenges his death.

4. Headpool: The Zombified Version Of Deadpool From Marvel Comics

Headpool is perhaps the oddest variation of Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine. In the comics, Headpool started as just another Deadpool from another Earth. However, this timeline was plagued by a zombie outbreak, which caused Wade to be bitten. Wade was zombified and taken to Earth-616, where his body was ripped apart, leaving him with a talking zombie head resembling the Merc with a Mouth.

For the most part, Deadpool and Wolverine represent Headpool similarly. In the film, longtime MCU guest actor Nathan Fillion voices Headpool, who is shown floating out of a vortex with the other characters.

5. Lady Deadpool: The Female Leader of The Deadpool Corps

While the Deadpool Corps did not proclaim a leader, Lady Deadpool led them through the vortex in Deadpool & Wolverine’s conclusion. Lady Deadpool, a popular character variation from Marvel Comics, was teased in several of the film’s teasers. The teasers sparked a lot of conjecture, with speculations ranging from Ryan Reynolds in a wig to Taylor Swift as the female version of the character.

Another popular moniker suggested for Lady Deadpool was Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds’ wife. As it turns out, Lively played Lady Deadpool in Deadpool and Wolverine.

While the persona was never unmasked, Lively provided the character’s voice and was most likely the one wearing the suit. Lady Deadpool differs from the other versions in that she has two tiny machine guns as her primary weapons instead of dual pistols.

6. Babypool: The Youngest Deadpool Variant

Kidpool is a child version of Deadpool, but Deadpool & Wolverine takes this one step further. In the film, there is a baby pool, which is exactly how it sounds. This variant of Wade Wilson is a baby who naturally does not play a big part in the battle against Deadpool and Wolverine. Interestingly, another Reynolds brings Babypool to life, with Lively and Reynolds’ fourth and most recent child, Olin Reynolds, portraying the variant.

7. Kidpool, The Young Version of Deadpool, Was Another Member of The Corps.

Kidpool is another Marvel Comics variation of the Deadpool Corps that appears in the film. Many people expected Walker Scobell to play this version, given his previous work with director Shawn Levy on The Adam Project. Scobell played a younger version of Ryan Reynolds in this picture, which led many to feel he was the ideal choice for the character of Kidpool.

However, Scobell did not play Kidpool in Deadpool and Wolverine. Instead, Inez Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds’ and Blake Lively’s daughter, received the distinction. Kidpool, like Lady Deadpool, remained masked in the film’s last scene, with only one line of conversation.

However, the dialogue was suitably laden with curse words and profanity, fitting the R-rated tone of the movie as another Deadpool variant.

8. Cowboy Deadpool: The Wild West Version of Wade Wilson

Cowboy Deadpool is perhaps one of the most iconic variants featured in Deadpool and Wolverine’s last act. The character, like Babypool, appears exactly as one might imagine. The version wears the traditional Deadpool costume but with all the cowboy accessories, including boots, spurs, hats, and belt buckles. The quickdraw weaponry also distinguishes Cowboy Deadpool from his Deadpool Corps counterparts.

Regarding who portrays Cowboy Deadpool, the cameo is almost ideal. Matthew McConaughey makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Deadpool & Wolverine’s voice actor.

McConaughey’s southern drawl is perfect for a wild west version of Deadpool, lending his iconic voice to the character as he attempts to take down Wolverine and the original Deadpool alongside his peers in the Corps.

9. Watari (Ronin-pool): The Samurai Variant Of Deadpool From Marvel Comics

Like Cowboy Deadpool and Welshpool, Watari is a well-known Deadpool variety from Deadpool and Wolverine. This version of the figure stands out for his Eastern influence, as he wields a samurai sword and wears a long, flowing robe. Similarly, Watari wears a huge ronin hat, emphasizing the variant’s Japanese heritage.

Watari’s appearance in the comics is brief, but he is portrayed as protecting multiple Deadpool Corps members from various perils. However, the Evil Deadpool Corps kills Watari and several other squad members. In Deadpool & Wolverine, Watari fights the titular combo and survives to fight another day alongside his self-healing friends.

10. Welshpool-Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham Connections Bear Fruit in Deadpool & Wolverine

Aside from performing, Reynolds’ most recent business venture has been ownership of the Welsh football club Wrexham A.F.C. This ownership is detailed in the Disney+ series Welcome to Wrexham.

Welshpool is one among the army of Deadpool varieties featured in the Deadpool & Wolverine climax. The character appears identical to previous Deadpool versions, except for a massive Welsh flag painted across his chest.

11. Deadpool 2099: The Futuristic Variant of Wade Wilson

Deadpool 2099 is another standout variant in Deadpool & Wolverine. This figure is portrayed as a future version of Wade Wilson, replete with a highly advanced suit of armor with neon lights running throughout. Unlike the other Deadpool versions, which use swords, Deadpool 2099 uses lightsaber-like energy sticks to battle Deadpool and Wolverine.

Deadpool 2099 is a comic book series published by Marvel. Warda Wilson is the daughter of Wade and Shiklah, the underworld’s queen. The character first appeared in 2016, making her relatively new.

12. Golden Age Deadpool: One of The Founding Deadpool Corps Members

In Marvel Comics, four characters appear to Deadpool and tell him of the Corps. One is Golden Age Deadpool, alongside Lady Deadpool, Dogpool, and Kidpool. Golden Age Deadpool is exactly what his name suggests: a variant of the character from the Golden Age of comic book heroes.

In Deadpool & Wolverine, the comic book design of Golden Age Deadpool has been translated well. Rather than the spandex suit worn by most Deadpool variants, Golden Age Deadpool wears more old-timey clothes, complete with a gasmask and a pair of daggers, instead of Deadpool’s usual katanas. In the fight, he is defeated by Deadpool and Wolverine before recovering.

13. Zenpool- A More Pacifistic Version of Deadpool

In Marvel Comics, Zenpool emerges due to the Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom’s curse. During a battle against the Red Onslaught, Scarlet Witch and Doom attempt to change the Onslaught’s brain, mistakenly impacting allies such as Deadpool. As a result, Deadpool became Zenpool, a nonviolent version of his previous self.

Zenpool wields a white Deadpool mask, a grey hood, and a long wooden stick. Zenpool, one of the Deadpool varieties seen in Deadpool & Wolverine, gets a close-up. Before the Corps rushes to combat Deadpool and Wolverine, the film shows him in his white mask and with his wooden stick.

14. Peterpool- Arguably The Most Important Deadpool Variant

After the battle rages between Wolverine, Deadpool, and the Deadpool Corps, the self-healing nature of the latter threatens to result in another conflict. However, an unlikely hero saves the day: Peterpool. Using the Deadpool costume hung in his work locker, Peter – a close friend of the original Deadpool – dons the suit and rushes into the fray.

The other Deadpools begin to praise Peter, raising him above them and racing away to celebrate his arrival. As it turns out, every Deadpool has a Peter, and he is someone they are all quite fortunate to have. Peterpool’s appearance calms tempers, preventing another fight from occurring. In doing so, Peter arguably saves the Marvel multiverse as, without him, Deadpool & Wolverine’s villain would not have been stopped in time by the titular heroic duo.

15. The Deadpool Corps- The Remainder of The Deadpool Variants

Aside from the well-known Deadpool variants listed, Deadpool and Wolverine featured hundreds of different incarnations of the character. The many other Deadpool versions lacked the distinguishing characteristics of samurai headgear, cowboy hats, gray hoods, and youth and instead wore seemingly identical costumes.

These Deadpool variants were employed to round out the numbers for the final battle in Deadpool & Wolverine, where the Deadpool variants faced off against the titular mutants in an MCU action sequence worth remembering.
